Glow Bowling - Activity #2
Where: Lincolnway Lanes 85 North Fayette Street, York, PA
When: December 15, 2013 @ 3:30 PM - 5:30 PM
Who: Ambassadors & their families
Group Rate Cost: $5 per person includes shoes and bowling
Food & snacks available at discount.
Another great time was had by those who were able to come. We had 13 students and 14 adults who enjoyed an afternoon of bowling. Some groups were good enough to squeeze in 3 games while others of us only gto to bowl 2 games. Either way we had a lot of fun. Two of the lanes "cheated" on the first game because they used the bumpers!! The rest of us toughed it out without the bumpers and, but honestly, our scores were just as good!! ;) The students present made some new friends and got to know everyone a little better.

Maize Quest & Campfire - Activity #1
Where: Map Quest Fun Park, 2885 New Park Rd, New Park, PA 17352
When: November 2, 2013 @ 3 PM - ??
Group Rate Cost: Adults (13+ yrs) = $8.25, Youth (2-12 yrs) = $7.00
Optional Group Campfire @ 6 PM: $6.00, includes a hot dog, bun, drink,
marshmallows, graham crackers, and chocolate sauce for s'mores
What a good time we had! The weather was beautiful but a little chilly till evening. At least we had the campfire to keep us warm! We had 22 students attend as well as Mr. & Mrs. H and several parents and family members. Our winning team that completed the maze and found all the clues and picture rubbings was the team of Ashley Woerner, Brittani Bentley, Radia Davis, and 2012 alum Desiree Rosario. After solving the maze, we had time to explore the other activities found at the park. Finally at 6 PM, we headed to the campfire where we experienced roasting our hot dogs and toasting our marshmallows and enjoying our s'mores. I will admit it is the first time I have had a s'more made with chocolate syrup instead of a Hershey bar. Personally, I like the candy bar better. I believe the students were enjoying their time together at the fire as they didn't seem to want to leave!
