Frequently Asked Questions
I'm not in high school, can I still travel with People to People?
Yes. There are programs for 5th and 6th graders and middle school students. More information on those programs can be found HERE.
I'm not from York and Adams Counties, can I still join your delegation?
Yes. Although most of our delegates come from York and Adams Counties, for reasons including choice of itinerary, travel with friends or family members, and family schedules, delegates from out of the area, even out of state, are welcome to join our delegation. We work closely with these students to keep them up-to-date on what is happening in the delegation and help them connect with the other delegates. Have a question about being an out-of-area delegate, ask it HERE.

What are Orientation Meetings and how often are they held?
From November through May we hold one Orientation Meeting about every 6 weeks, followed by a Bon Voyage picnic in June. Orientation Meetings are fun interactive experiences where you will get to know the other students in our delegation, learn what it means to be a Student Ambassador, become prepared for safe international travel, including getting details on flight and hotel safety, money matters, communicating with home, etc., and find out more about the countries and the specific places we will be visiting.
